Template to Launch explains how hosted website builders work. It follows one trip: pick a template, edit it, publish it, give it your own address, and know how to leave if you ever need to.

It is written for people with no technical background. The sentences are short and each new word is explained. Pictures are drawn for this site to show the ideas.

Builders change their menus often, and each one has its own words. So this site teaches the ideas that carry over from one builder to the next. For examples, it uses the public help pages of real builders, plus pages from Wikipedia, MDN and the W3C. Facts link to the page they came from.

This site does not review, rank or recommend builders. It has no ads, no affiliate links and no sponsors.
